DAVID MATTHEWS

David is a Senior Associate at Apollo based in Washington, D.C., where he supports campaigns and public affairs clients through strategic communications and paid media. He brings experience working alongside state legislators at the National Black Caucus of State Legislators (NBCSL), focusing on policy development, operations, and stakeholder engagement across all 50 states.

His work spans political strategy, communications, and organizing, with a focus on advancing initiatives that support Black communities and other underserved populations. He has helped lead large-scale convenings, worked closely with policymakers and stakeholders, and contributed to messaging and engagement strategies across a range of issue areas.

A Huntsville, Alabama native and proud Samford University alum, David is a diehard Crimson Tide fan who will never turn down good southern food.
